1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree

Instructions
 

Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a donut pan by greasing it thoroughly or use a silicone donut mold to ensure easy removal of the donuts after baking.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground ginger, and salt. Whisk everything together until all dry ingredients are well mixed and evenly distributed.

      In a separate bowl, combine the canned pumpkin puree, large eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix the wet ingredients together using a whisk or spoon until the mixture is smooth and homogenous.

        Pour the wet mixture into the bowl containing the dry ingredients. Gently fold the ingredients together with a spatula or wooden spoon, mixing until just combined. Be cautious not to over-mix, as this can affect the texture of the donuts.

          To easily transfer the batter into the pan, use a piping bag or a zip-top bag with a corner snipped off. Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold approximately two-thirds full to allow for rising during baking.

            Place the donut pan in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes. The donuts are ready when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the edges are lightly golden.

              Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and allow the donuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes. After they’ve cooled slightly, gently transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely and achieve the perfect texture.

                If you like a bit of sweetness, once the donuts have cooled, dust them lightly with powdered sugar for an elegant finish and added flavor.
