Instructions
Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven heats, line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Stir the mixture until all ingredients are well blended and the filling is creamy.
Open the can of crescent roll dough and carefully separate it into individual crescent triangle pieces.
On the wider end of each triangle, spoon approximately one tablespoon of the chicken mixture.
Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle towards the pointed tip, tucking the filling in securely as you go to ensure it stays inside during baking.
Arrange the rolled crescents on your prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to create a lovely golden crust.
Bake the crescents in your preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and visibly puffed up.
Once baked, take them out of the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. For an extra touch, garnish with freshly chopped parsley or a dash of paprika if desired.
